Q & A about the Special
Photograph of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe
The
Special Photograph of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe was
taken after Mass at the National Sanctuary of Our Sorrowful Mother in
Portland, Oregon on August 15, 1991. Distribution
of this photograph was approved by
Archbishop Alexander Sample of the Archdiocese of Portland on July 3, 2014
1.
What is
the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe?
Our
Lady first used this name of her Image: “The
Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe” in her messages
(1990-1992) given to Kenneth Staloch (a highly respected lay person who
lived near Seattle (1916-2003)), launching her new plan in our times to
crush the head of Satan according to God’s Will (cf. Genesis 3:15).
She explained the purpose of her plan in her messages of August 14,
1990:
“Together, my dear children, we will end the horrible evil of abortion.
I will help you stop all abortions.
There will be no exceptions. Together
we will bring about a new era of protecting all human life, that is, each
person, from conception to natural death.
My
Image is a continuing invitation to give yourselves to me so I may do with
you what I have planned in bringing my children of all the Americas and
the whole world to my Son Jesus through my Immaculate Heart.”
This message also reveals that Our Lady of Guadalupe’s
coming to the Aztec Empire (now, Mexico) 483 years ago (in 1531) had not
been just for stopping the idol worshipping and human sacrifices in the
Aztec Empire in the 16th century but for a much greater plan of
fighting
a worldwide spiritual war against Satan and his devils and
repel them from this world so that a new world could be established in
which the truth, justice, peace and blessing of God prevail.
In order to accomplish this plan, Our Lady is calling each of us to
help her with more prayers, penance, and work of spreading all over the
world Our Lord’s teachings and Our Lady’s entreats.
Since the spring of 1991, Mr. Dan Lynch (a lawyer in Vermont)
and his friends began traveling all over the United States carrying the
Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe (which was donated by the
Mexican Cardinals and Bishops to the Catholics in the U.S.).
This Missionary Image was a replica (photographed by the NASA).
So far, the group of Mr. Dan Lynch has visited more than 1,000
parishes and many schools, hospitals, prisons, and more in the United
States and also visited several foreign countries like Russia and China.
Millions of people saw the Missionary Image of Our Lady for the
first time in their lives, received powerful grace, witnessed many
miracles, and started their faith life.
The beginning of Our Lady’s plan has been very fruitful and is
continuing. Now, the Special
Photograph of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe is being
helpful to this Missionary Image movement, as it would be easier to
distribute the photograph nationwide and worldwide and the living presence
of Our Lady through her Image on the photograph can be intimately and
perpetually with each individual anywhere in the world.
Wide distribution of the photograph and explanation is urgently
needed.
2. When did the Special Photograph of the Missionary Image of Our
Lady of Guadalupe begin?
The Special Photograph of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of
Guadalupe was born on August 15, 1991 while the Missionary Image of Our
Lady of Guadalupe was visiting and placed in the National Sanctuary of Our
Sorrowful Mother (also known as “Grotto”) in Portland, Oregon and,
thus, is truly a child of the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
This small-sized photograph, however, is a powerful and convenient
tool that can make the presence of Our Lady a very close reality to every
person who loves Our Lord and Our Lady and believes the miraculous nature
of this photograph.
3. Does the
Image of Our Lady in the Special Photograph really carry the living
presence of Our Lady?
In Mexico, it is widely and undoubtedly understood that the
Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe of 1531 has the living presence of Our
Lady. Many of the pilgrims
visiting the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe in Mexico City are
surprised by the powerful sensation that they are standing before the
truly living presence of Our Lady in the Basilica.
This must be because this Image was not made by any humans on earth
but produced by God Himself in Heaven.
The Special Photograph of
the Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe also is an exact replica
of the original Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe of 1531 and a continuation
of it as well as a completion of it. The
original Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe and the new Image of Our Lady of
Guadalupe in the Special Photograph are not separate but one.
The only difference is that the original Image is the beginning and
foundation, while the Image in the Special Photograph is blossomed flower
and completion of the work entrusted to Our Lady by God.
The main reason how the Special Photograph can be said to be the
completion (or perfection) of the work entrusted by God to Our Lady is
that, in the original Image of 1531, Our Lady was pregnant with the Baby
Jesus and, therefore, was in the progress of the growth of the Birth of
Jesus, whereas, in the Special Photograph of 1991, the Baby Jesus was born
in the form of the Holy Eucharist as well as the Divine Light that
brightly and powerfully radiating from the Mother.
(All devils extremely fear
this Divine Light and whenever they see it, they run away like lightning.
This was actually happened and proved in Gresham, Oregon a few years
ago.) Then, this
completion by the Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe means that Our Lady now
has a plan or mission from God much greater than in the 16th
century.
Thus, the original Guadalupe Image of 1531 achieved the enormous purposes
of ending the Aztec Indians’ worshipping of idols, stopping all of the
terrifying human sacrifices, and converting about nine million Aztec
Indians into the Catholic Faith, while Our Lady’s Guadalupe Image in the
new photograph of 1991 announced in her messages of 1990 that her plan is
to put an end to all abortions in the world, expel the worshipping of all
kinds of idols (such as wealth, fames, illegal pleasures, proud,
selfishness, and false gods), and convert as many people in the entire
world as possible to Our Lord Jesus Christ and His Church.
Our Lady’s missions are very similar between 1531 and the current
time, but the burden of carrying out the missions must be far greater and
more difficult now because of the enormous quantity and bad qualities of
sins in the current world. When
Adam and Eve committed sin by eating the prohibited apple to become like
God as Satan told them. God
punished Satan (Serpent) and Adam and Eve and announced that He would put enmity between Satan and the woman, and between his
offspring and her offspring and the woman and her offspring will crush
Satan’s head while Satan will strike at the woman’s (or her
offspring’s) heel. Later,
Jesus (the second Adam) suffered on the cross and widely opened the door
for the salvation of those who choose truths and abandon evils and Our
Lady (the second Eve) received from the Trinity the power sufficiently
strong to defeat and repel Satan. It
is necessary and important that we, who live in this modern times,
understand the nature and extreme dangers of our times and positively
respond to Our Lady’s calling to work for her to overcome Satan and his
devils so that the current great spiritual war will end as the victory of
Our Lady and her children. Following
the teachings of Our Lord and helping Our Lady in her spiritual war is the
way of salvation for us.
4. How can we discern whether this Special Photograph is accidental
or truly miraculous?
All of the new images that are visible in the Special
Photograph are intimately related to the core teachings in the Catholic
Church such as the Holy Eucharist, the
Holy Spirit, Our Lady’s Immaculate Heart, Our Lady’s efforts to end
all abortions even kneeling and praying shedding tears, and Our Lady not
wearing a veil anymore because she is ready to receive the Queen’s Crown
from the Holy Trinity.
It is unimaginable that these multiple images representing the core
of the Catholic Faith suddenly and accidentally appear in the photograph
that was being taken in just a few seconds.
When I was taking this photograph after the Mass in the chapel, I
had a camera in my hands but there were no other machines or devises with
me or around me. There was
nobody helping me or interfering with me while I was taking the
photograph, either. My eleven
year-old son was seating on a pew and was the only one looking at my
taking the photograph. My only
intention was to have a good replica of the Missionary Image of Our Lady
for our living room. I could
not expect or even imagine that any surprise like a miracle might appear
in the photograph I took. I
was just an ordinary person and an amateur in photographing.
Several days later, my son and I went to Europe for the first time
in our life to visit a business person in Germany and to visit the Shrine
of Lourdes in France. After
the trip, we received the photographs from Costco and our family were
amazed about the image of the Eucharist on the tips of Our Lady’s
fingers. However, we could not
even imagine that it could be a miracle.
It took several months for us to find several other images, and we
slowly began to think if these could be miraculous.
Eventually, several months later, I submitted several copies of the
photograph and a letter to the Archdiocese of Portland.
A week later, we received a very positive letter from a priest who
was the second-highest person in the Archdiocese of Portland.
He was excited and very encouraging about the photograph and said
he would show the photograph and report to the Archbishop who was
travelling at that time. A few
weeks later, the Archbishop’s letter came but was neither positive nor
negative. For 23 years since
then, I had not submitted any evidences or written reports to the
Archdiocese, even though my conviction and my family’s had been becoming
more clear and firm. We made
more copies of the photograph and gave them to our friends, who were
amazed.
In 2013, a new Archbishop came to Portland, his name being
Archbishop Alexander K. Sample. I
had heard that he had a very strong devotion to Our Lady and also was very
knowledgeable about Our Lady of Guadalupe.
On June 28, 2014, my wife and I attended the special Mass at St.
Mary Cathedral where the Archbishop and the faithful were consecrated the
Archdiocese of Portland in Oregon to Our Lady.
After the Mass, as we missed the Archbishop, we gave the photograph
and reports to Bishop Peter Smith and asked him to give the reports to the
Archbishop.
We thought it might be several months or years to receive the
Archbishop’s letter, but he wrote the letter only five days after he had
received it. We were
pleasantly shocked and enormously grateful to the Archbishop who sent us a
positive letter so early. I
and my family are working to spread this photograph and explanation to as
many people as possible not only in the United States but also abroad if
possible. As we are a small
family, the results are still slow. But
we will continue our efforts to reach more people.
Through our website: www.marys-touch.com, we are trying to reach
more people in the USA and other countries.
5. What does Our Lady emphasize especially with the new images in
the Special Photograph?
The Aztec Empire’s Indians listened to Our Lady’s
messages through Juan Diago and also saw the Image that appeared on Juan
Diego’s Tilma. This way,
they understood who Our Lady was and what she could do for them. Likewise,
we can understand a lot by reading Our Lady’s messages received by
Kenneth Staloch (These
messages are available in our website: www.marys-touch.com) and also examining the details of the
images that appeared in the Special Photograph:
(a) In the Special Photograph, Our Lady is
holding her Divine Son Jesus in the form of the Holy Eucharist on the tips
of her hands with all her love, respect, and worship.
Likewise, we should firmly believe the Real Presence of Our Lord in
the Holy Eucharist and pray frequently with Him.
We must well prepare for each Holy Communion, always with utmost
love, respect, and worship to Our Lord in the Eucharist, and being careful
not to drop or lose the fragments of the Eucharist as the Church teaches
that Our Lord is present even in the smallest fragments of drops of the
Eucharist.
(b) In the Special Photograph, the Image of the Holy Spirit is
located close to Our Lady’s right shoulder and is looking at Our Lady
(His Spouse) an also at every one of us.
The Holy Spirit always acts to guide and protect the Church and her
members. Always, we must pray
and seek for the Holy Spirit’s guides, teachings of the Church Dogmas,
and protections.
(c) In the Special Photograph, there is a
smaller image of Our Lady kneeling and weeping for the unborn children.
Also, on her left shoulder, there are tiny babies which were just
fertilized. Our Lady is
working very hard to end all abortions.
We also must pray hard for the same purpose.
Praying with Our Lady is the most powerful weapon against Satan.
Also remember how many unborn babies in the world are being killed
every day by surgical operations and, even far more, by chemical methods.
(d) Spreading the Church teachings (especially, the Catechism of
the Catholic Church) and praying frequently for others including those in
purgatory and for the peace of the world.
Praying is the first important duty of all Catholics.
Also diligently distributing the Special Photograph of the
Missionary Image of Our Lady of Guadalupe together with its explanation
would be among the most worthy and happy efforts we can do.
